5 Tips that I learn about using Facebook Ads.
Over
the last 3 months one of my best performing Facebook Ads account has
cross 255.000$ in terms of money spend throw on it in terms of Ads so
I was thinking of why not going over some tips and things that I have
learned about it that worked for me and to share with you so I will
give you one up to date information without spending any dollar for
it.
So
these 5 tips are in relation with each other, they build each other so if
you are interested in Facebook Ads to be sure that you will read all
the tips in this article.
First
Step – Facebook Pixel
One
the thing that I have learned is that google pixel is absolute
everything. And if you don’t know what it is it basically a line of
code you install on your website that allows Facebook to track the type
of the behaver that takes place on your website so the more people go
to your website and more people purchase on your website Facebook
looks on all that data and take that to count when it shows your
advertisement to the new people so for example if your last 1000
visitors only 10 have made a purchase on your website Facebook look
to their data, their interest and save this data so the advertising
will be shown just the people with the same interest and behavior so
you can have more consummator that just visitors.
I know
that it’s black mayor type stuff and it sounds kind of scary but
from a marketing standpoint, this is basically the most powerful tool
in the history of marketing.
Anyways
for this pixel to function properly and to be effective you
have to feed it some data so what a lot of people do is that they’ll
just spend a ton of money on Facebook Ads
and even if they're not profitable they’ll just spend more and
more money on It just to gather that data so starting from scratch on
a brand new Facebook Ad account can be pretty expensive to gather all
that data and if you’re just starting out you might not have
thousand of dollars that you can just experiment with and gather all
that data you probably want to see some sales right away so what I did
in begin is that I still install the Facebook Pixel on my website
but instead of going directly paying Facebook for Ads to gather that
initial data I went on Instagram and paid for shoutouts on the
Instagram Fan page repost page type of pages and these pages will
often charge you like 60 bucks for a page that’s 400.000 followers
so the traffic from these pages can be pretty cheap but you can still
build data from it for your Facebook Pixel now once you get around 2
to 300 purchases from those Instagram, Fan pages your Facebook Pixel
is gonna have some data to work with and then you can start
experimenting with Facebook Ads and you’re probably gonna be a lot
more profitable right out of the gate so that’s tip number one it’s
usually a lot cheaper to get your first few hundreds
orders from
Instagram Influencer and build some data that way rather than going
directly to Facebook right from the beginning
Second
Step – Data for Pixel
Now
tip number two is once you’re at a point where you’re ready to
get into Facebook ads but you still don’t have thousands and
thousands of orders that you’ve gathered data from just yet but you
can do actually still target the right people without all that data
are narrow your audiences by engaged shoppers so say you are selling
some sort of pet product and you want to target people who are
interested in dogs so what you can do is put dogs as one of your
interest but then hit that
narrow audience button and that's where you put engage shopper and
when you do that you’re now targeting people who are interested in
dogs but also have a history of purchasing from Facebook Ads and
clicking on Facebook Ads the only problem with this though is that
that’s gonna be a much higher quality audience people who are much
more likely to purchase Facebook is gonna charge you a lot more
money for showing your Ads to these types of people
so it’s kind of an idea to start out from this but once you have a
lot of orders that you build data from you might want to stop using
this now you don’t absolutely have to do this from the get-go taluk
and necessity but I will say that I have had Ad sets not be
profitable then I narrowed the audience by engaging the shopper and then
they turned profitable so it’s definitely something worth
experimenting with speaking of experimenting what a smooth segue
because:
Third
Step – Winning Product
Tip
number three is that once you know you have a winning product you got
to experiment with as many different audiences as you can I mean
interest even slightly related to the demographic you want to target
you want to test it out I have personally had some of the strangest
interests that barely relate to the product that kind of don’t
really relate at all be some of the most profitable ones so you
definitely gotta experiment with all kinds of different audiences and
interests I think most people have experience with Facebook Ads are
gonna agree with me on this one that once you have a winning product
testing out as many different
audiences, as you can think of, is kind of crucial to the long-term
success and the longevity of the product moving on to the fourth
thing.
Fourth
Step – Next Level
I
leaned this one has to do with scaling and getting your Ads to that
next level baby, there are two different directions of scaling there’s
vertical and horizontal-vertical means that you just increase the
the budget on your Ad sets and campaigns and horizontal means that you
actually, increase the number of assets and two pains that you have I
personally, recommend that in the beginning, you focus on the horizontal
scaling and that you don’t be too aggressive with the vertical
scaling I mean if you see a ten dollar per da Ad set get a couple of
sales you don’t want just immediately turn that budget up to a
hundreds of dollars because that can actually kill the Ad set and dry it
up super quickly instead it makes a lot more sense to go somewhere
Enzo scaling in the beginning and create a bunch of different ad sets
that once you see that like a few days go by or like a week go by and
one of the ads sets is very profitable it has a contestant cost for
purchase that’s super-low it’s a good row as you then want to go
in with vertical scaling and boost those Ad sets but having that
horizontal scaling foundation having all those Ad sets is gonna make
your business a lot more sustainable and it’s gonna kind
of increase the life of the product that you’re selling and you’re
not gonna dry it up as quickly now the final thing I learned.
Five
Step – Catch Attention
Tip
number five is the importance of using scroll Stoppers and that’s
something you put in the very beginning of your advertisements the
first couple of
second or the thumbnail that kind of makes people stop scrolling
through their Instagram or Facebook feed or even through their
stories so
what you want to do is test out as many thumbnails as many attention
grabbers as you can I mean you three clips but you can have three
different advertisements from those three clips if you arrange them in
different ways and one of them is gonna work better than the rest so
you’re really gonna test out these attention grabbers and scroll
Stoppers and even if you find something that’s very successful you
still got to keep on experimenting and testing out different and new
variation because eventually people are gonna get used to that
a successful advertisement they’re gonna get numb to it and
they are no longer gonna spend time watching it so that’s like the
the biggest major key when you are creating your advertisement the first
A few seconds have to catch people’s attention.
So those
are five things I have learned through my time of advertising on
Facebook hope you guys enjoyed this article and found it helpful.
